Use it in any chat

Copy this prompt into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or any other chat, then paste the passage you want to share. Use your own text or a public-domain work; the prompt tells the AI never to invent a quote.

Link format

A QuoteNote link carries the whole card after the #, so the quote never reaches a server. Percent-encode every value, including ( ) [ ] * _ &.

`attr`	Attribution, such as author and title
`sig`	Signature line
`theme`	. Unknown ids fall back to `book`.
